WasteExpo 2025 will bring the North American waste and recycling industry to Las Vegas from 6–8 May, with its conference opening a day earlier. More than 600 exhibitors and visitors from almost 100 countries are expected to compare technologies, operating practices and investment priorities across solid waste, recycling and organics.
The exhibition reflects a sector becoming more digital and electrified. Announced showcases include an electric front-loader collection truck, compact food-waste recycling, waste-to-fuel equipment and software for liquid-waste solidification. AI-assisted sensing and connected platforms are also moving from pilot projects into everyday sorting, fleet and facility decisions.
Technology is only part of the programme. Sessions cover smart municipal waste systems, fleet optimisation, leadership, food recovery and extended producer responsibility. A two-day partnership with the Solid Waste Association of North America adds practical courses and certification for professionals who need to translate new tools into safer, more efficient operations.
The event also links innovation with finance. The Waste360 Investor Summit will examine mergers and acquisitions, circular-economy investment and changing producer-responsibility rules. Together, the expo and conference offer a useful snapshot of where the industry is placing capital—and which ideas are ready to scale beyond demonstrations.
