IMABE IBERICA has been awarded the contract for the supply of 8 balers to be installed on the classification lines of the Environmental Recycling Complex located in Loeches (Madrid).
 
The company FCC, through its subsidiary Ecomesa, will manage the new Environmental Recycling Complex, located in the Madrid municipality of Loeches, which will treat waste from 31 municipalities of the Eastern Commonwealth and is expected to be operational in 2020.
 
Ecomesa, the concessionaire company for the waste treatment will manage the waste of 680,000 inhabitants with a capacity of 375,000 tons per year for a period of 20 years.
The contract includes the following equipment for waste treatment:
  • 2 balers for refuse
  • 2 balers for ferrous metals
  • 3 balers for plastic film
  • 1 baler for subproducts
The facility will cover approximately 60 hectares in the north of the municipality of Loeches and will treat the waste of 31 municipalities, that were sent to the Alcalá de Henares waste disposal site until now.
 
The new recycling site is designed to operate with five treatment lines differentiating: refuse fractions, packaging, commercial, bulky and organic waste.
 
According to FCC company, these new recycling facilities will treat and value domestic and commercial waste produced in the area using cutting-edge technologies.
 
Through the award of this contract, the trust and long collaboration between both entities is strengthened, given that IMABE IBERICA has extensive experience in the manufacturing of equipment for the treatment of solid waste.
