Industrial waste plant Ugreshka designed to process 15,000 ton of hazardous industrial waste per year. Processing hazardous waste requires different technology than incineration of municipal solid waste. Ugreshka plant to be build using rotary kiln technology with higher temperature of the pyrolysis process, in 1,100-1,300 °C range. The gas cleaning system for industrial waste incinerator also has advanced features to fulfil the strictest EU requirements.

The full-featured design project for this plant was prepared by the Waste to Energy International team and passed the state construction expertise. That is to say, we prepared the shovel ready project.

Rotary kiln technology by Envirotherm

Following the sophisticated requirements of industrial waste processing, the German company BAMAG International GmbH (later acquired by Envirotherm). The company has numerous installations of industrial waste processing facilities. The proprietary technology allows converting used oil, paintings, solvents, other contaminants from the industry, including toxic materials. Pyrolysis of such materials and further flue gas cleaning require a lot of precautions which should be reflected in the technology. Before entering into cooperation, we investigated the market, visited reference plants in Germany and derived that the technology by Envirotherm complies with all EU safety and air pollution standards.

Nowadays, there are some competitors producing similar pyrolysis equipment following modern safety and air pollution standards. We have long term relationships with such producers. During the feasibility study, we select the technology and the equipment provider most suitable for the current project in scope.
