AI and innovation at the heart of the ecological transition

Ecomondo 2025 will focus on how artificial intelligence, digitalisation and better product design can accelerate Europe’s ecological transition. The circular-economy exhibition returns to Rimini, Italy, from 4–7 November, bringing companies, public institutions and researchers together across 30 halls and 166,000 square metres.

Its Innovation District will feature AI and digital-twin applications for predictive resource management, recycling and environmental monitoring. Satellite data for climate analysis, lower-impact packaging and sector-specific decarbonisation tools for textiles, energy, construction and electronic waste are also on the agenda.

Technology deployment depends on people as well as equipment. An expanded Green Jobs & Skills programme and Start-Up & Scale-Up area will connect training, employment and entrepreneurship in regenerative industries. Awards for green innovation will highlight projects that improve how resources are recovered and reused.

The event’s scope extends from the Paper and Textile Districts to healthy cities, the blue economy and sustainable vehicles. International delegations and conferences will examine policy, finance and restoration, with particular attention to cooperation across Europe, North Africa and the Mediterranean.
