WTEI and Woima Forge Cooperation for Mid-Range Incinerator Solutions

Waste to Energy International (WTEI) is delighted to announce a new collaboration with WOIMA, a Finnish manufacturer specializing in medium-capacity incineration equipment. WOIMA’s technology covers 100–500 metric tons per day, bridging a crucial gap between small-scale pyrolysis plants (20–100 tons/day) and large incinerators (500–5,000 tons/day).

This partnership addresses a growing demand for medium-sized facilities, which are often challenging to source. While WTEI’s primary focus has traditionally been on large-scale waste-to-energy projects, adding WOIMA’s modular incinerators enables a more versatile portfolio suitable for a broader range of client needs.

Several productive meetings with WOIMA’s CEO, Henri Kinnunen, have paved the way for this cooperation. During these discussions, both teams explored design optimizations, engineering standards, and financing models to ensure that medium-capacity installations remain economically and environmentally sound. The result is a shared approach capitalizing on WTEI’s extensive project experience and WOIMA’s innovative incineration technology.

This new collaboration promises to expand WTEI’s global offerings and deliver reliable, mid-range waste management solutions to regions that cannot accommodate large-scale plants or lack the infrastructure for more sophisticated pyrolysis units. With WOIMA’s proven track record in modular incineration and WTEI’s expertise in project development, clients can expect efficient systems tailored to local waste streams and energy requirements.

By working together, WTEI and WOIMA aim to set new standards for medium-capacity waste-to-energy facilities worldwide, promoting a cleaner, more sustainable future for communities of all sizes.
