Territory design with office and control room, inner roads and car parking slots are shown. Real dimensions are used basing on the design project. How many acres is required to construct a WTE Plant that produces 8,000 tons per day of household trash?
There are no such huge plants as 8,000 tons per day on the planet. Due to scalability and logistics limitations, existing MSW to electricity plants have a capacity of 300 – 3,000 tpd. The most often used size is 1,000 tpd. For a 1,000 tpd plant, it is needed 3.5 ha = 8.7 acres.
