San Bruno, CA (PRWEB) March 10, 2011
Following a highly selective application process, ZERE Energy and Biofuels (http://www.zerechp.com) has been selected to present its technology for Zero Emissions Renewable Energy and Biofuels and to discuss future plans for its proprietary biomass waste-to-renewable systems at the Cleantech Open Launch on March 11th, at the Cleantech Forum San Francisco on March 15, and at the WBT Innovation Marketplace’s ninth annual event on March 22-23.
The ZERE plant oxidizes cellulosic biomass with a solid-state oxygen carrier in a fluidized bed reactor, yielding steam to drive a turbine for power/heat generation and alternatively, syngas suitable for biofuels. Waste CO2 is inherently captured, liquefied, and sold as an additional revenue stream.
“We are honored to be selected to present ZERE’s biomass waste-to-renewable energy and biofuel technology at these three great events,” said Laura Draxler, CEO, ZERE Energy and Biofuels. “This is an acknowledgment of our technology and the value it represents for biorefinery integration and to potential customers with high electricity rates greater than 12 cents per kWh, such as those in California, Nevada, and the Northeast. We look forward to meeting leading researchers from around the world who are doing ground breaking work in competitive clean energy solutions and other novel technology areas.”
The Cleantech Open’s reputation is built on its clean technology business competition, the largest of its kind anywhere in the world. Cleantech Open alumni companies continue to score scientific breakthroughs, funding, deployments and customers.
As the longest running events in the space, Cleantech Forums are where industry leaders, clean tech visionaries, and corporate executives gather to bring the trends to life, set the agenda for the year ahead, and make the connections that will drive their businesses forward. ZERE will be one of only 20 companies selected to present at the Entrepreneur Showcase.
WBT Innovation Marketplace is an annual forum offering a pre-screened, pre-prepped collection of undiscovered companies and intellectual property emanating from top universities, labs and research institutions from across the country.
“We are incredibly pleased to welcome ZERE Energy and Biofuels to WBT2011 and support their commercialization goals at our widely recognized forum of vetted and mentored deals for institutional investors, angel investors, and corporate licensees, said, CEO, Paul Huleatt, WBT Innovation Marketplace. “As with past WBT events, presenters will have the opportunity to meet with investors and corporate and national licensees, and all WBT2011 attendees will experience two full days of content-rich sessions, an exhibitor showcase, and inspiring speakers at our unparalleled, deal-focused forum of emerging technologies.”
All presenting companies and technologies will have been rigorously prepped by WBT commercialization experts prior to presenting to an anticipated audience of more than 600 venture capitalists and Fortune 1000 licensors. ZERE will compete with the other presenting companies and technology innovators for top honors during the event. One in three WBT presenters goes on to secure venture funding, license their technology, or sell their IP outright, representing over $ 490 million raised to date.
