These figures give some measure of the sheer size and decentralized nature of the world’s largest democratic assembly, whose energy consumption is far from negligible.

The EP has thus committed to ambitious targets: it aims to shrink its carbon footprint 30% by 2020 (compared with 2006 figures) and reduce CO2 emissions by 28,000 metric tons in six years (2012-2017).

On the strength of its expertise in energy efficiency, leading-edge technologies, user awareness campaigns and more, Dalkia has been selected to help the EP rise to the challenge.
